Following a very successful win with its ratings, Disney+ has renewed Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends for season 5! The third season is currently airing on the channel and on Disney+. Season 4 is set to premiere this summer on Disney+ and the streamer.

The CGI-animated series depicts Peter Parker as a child, but don't let his young age fool you. When there's a problem rising in his city, he becomes the legendary Spider-Man, or Spidey, as he is nicknamed. His friends, Ghost Spider and Spin, help him conquer their rivals, and while their powers of web-spinning and agility serve them well when on the job, their most substantial powers are friendship and teaching lessons of teamwork.

Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends is popular among the preschool-age audience of 2-5 years old and boys, but the characters can delight any Marvel fan, as everyone is familiar with Spider-Man. As a bonus, having the masked heroes in Spidey as school-aged kids allows them to be relatable to their core audience.

Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends season 5 renewal is a great move by Disney+

Disney+'s renewal of Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends shouldn't come as a surprise to either the company or fans, as it's only the second most popular show after Bluey. Each episode has adventures that draw kids in and interesting protagonist/antagonist dynamics. You'd get your pick of the antagonists, such as Doc Ock, The Green Globin, The Sand Man, and many more who cross paths with Spidey, only to find themselves defeated in a nonviolent nature.

According to a press release attained by The Parent Watch, Ayo Davis, the president of the Disney Branded Television division, Ayo Davis, states that she's ready to roll out more stories in the Spidey and His Amazing Friends universe.

"Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends is what happens when two storytelling powerhouses — Marvel and Disney Jr. — come together to introduce the next generation to the world of Super Heroes. We love this show, and it’s been incredible to see how much kids do, too. Team Spidey’s adventures aren’t slowing down anytime soon, and we can’t wait to bring even more stories, characters, and action-packed fun for years to come.”

In the same release, Brad Winderbaum- the head of Marvel Animation and Marvel Television- also states that the partnership between Marvel and Disney is exciting. Kids will love the new adventures that season 5 will entail.

"Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, beloved by fans of all ages for over 60 years. These characters can speak to audiences of all ages, and ‘Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ is a fun, vibrant entry point for kids to the wider Marvel Universe. There’s plenty more adventures ahead for Spidey, Spin, and Ghost-Spider, and we’re excited to partner with Disney Branded Television on a fifth season.”

Season 4 of Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends is due this summer, with one of the storylines being pirate-themed. It's the perfect introduction for the new installment and the warmer months ahead.
