The full-length trailer for Zootopia 2, Disney's sequel to the 2016 feature Zootopia, has dropped, piquing our excitement! Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are set to reprise their roles as Detective Judy Hopps and her foxy sidekick, Nick Wilde, as they take on new cases and characters.

Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan will join the cast as Gary De'Snake, a massive blue viper who slithers into the animal-residing town and evokes trouble. Besides the fact that he's a snake, little is known about him, but like every character in Zootopia, Gary will be central to the plot.

As we look ahead to the film's release later this year, fans received the first teaser for Zootopia 2, which will be released exclusively in theaters on November 26. The nearly minute-and-a-half clip features a bouncy club-like beat performed by a trio of lemmings as Judy, Nick, and Gary are being pursued by the police as they embark on a journey through unexplored areas of Zootopia.

While the trailer didn't give too much away, it defintely left us excited to see what Disney has planned for the sequel film and left us wanting more in a good way. We should get an official full-length trailer in the months ahead leading up to the film's November release, which will likely give us a better look at the plot of the film and the adventure that awaits us in the sequel.

Director and scriptwriter Jared Bush shared his thoughts on what fans could expect not just from the trailer, but the movie itself.

"We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia, and take audiences on a hilarious, wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before," Bush said in a press release obtained by The Parent Watch. "Whether it’s the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes, or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends and discover even more about the world, themselves, and a brand-new snake in town."

Additionally, Latina Grammy winner Shakira will return to the Zootopia universe as Gazelle, the animal reflection of herself, and even perform a new track somewhere during the movie. Shakira's animated appearance will only make the sequel even more fun and enjoyable for adult Disney fans.

Zootopia 2 was given the sneak peek treatment back in August 2024 at the D23 Fan Expo. The clip was met with energizing cheers from the audience. With that reaction, the movie will be another Box Office success like its predecessor, perhaps even more, as it'll open one day before Thanksgiving.
