SuperKitties Su-purr Adventures and more are coming to Disney+ for August 2024

August has arrived, and so has a fresh batch of Disney+ content! We're ready to binge-watch with our families and excited about what's to come! Whether you're into colorful kitties saving a city with their cuteness, battling the forces with Star Wars, or getting a glimpse of popular K-POP boy group BTS before their 2023 military enlistment.

I must confess: I watch SuperKitties because I love cats, and the "villains" in the show learn valuable lessons after their minor crimes. It's an excellent animation for those with relatively short attention spans. Before the kitties save their town of KittyDale, they're just regular cats doing regular things. But unlike regular cats, they don't carry a snarky air about them, but it could've been just my pride of cats with that attitude when I was growing up.

On August 8th, SuperKitties: Su-Purr Adventures will be comprised of the shortened 15-minute segments. As you could guess, these episodes will be shorts, and season one will have a block of six.

Another good choice would be Winnie the Pooh, as season two of the preschool series Me and Winnie the Pooh premieres in the middle of the month. As a double dose of that sweet honey, Playdates with Winnie the Pooh will drop five new shorts on the same day as Me and Winnie the Pooh.

Disney+ August 2024 Lineup

Joining this month's schedule is the delightful and kid-friendly series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. In the second season, the Jedis in training learn more about the Force while working and sticking together. There'll also be a block of the animation shorts.

The Freeform sitcom Grownish, will be dropping its second season with all eighteen episodes.

August 8th: SuperKitties: Su-Purr Adventures Season 1 (Shorts)

SuperKitties will be pouncing up their first season of shorts, offering new adventures for the four furry friends. Join Ginny, Buddy, Sparks, and the littlest recruit, Bitsy, as they unfold crimes and learn new things. The SuperKitties' curiosity might get the best of them since their villains love to stir up trouble!

August 8th: Are You Sure?! Series two-episode premiere

BTS members Jimin and Jungkook will tour on a new journey, and no, it's not another sold-out concert tour, or anything to do with their earcandy music. The South Korean natives have enlisted in the military and the job will provide plenty of challenges.

Disney+'s official synopsis:

"Whenever BTS’s Jimin and Jung Kook meet, chaos and excitement ensue! In the summer of 2023, they embark on an unforgettable trip before their military enlistment. Their unpredictable adventure, “Are You Sure?!” is full of surprises. Will Jimin and Jung Kook complete their journey safely?"

August 14th: Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures season 2

The second season promises to be jam-packed with even more galaxy missions and encounters with The Ganguls.

"Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” Season 2 follows the younglings as they continue their training and embark on even bigger missions across the galaxy. Helping to lead the younglings on these missions is Master Zia’s new Padawan, Wes Vinik, and his astromech RO-M1. As they continue their training and grow in the ways of the Force, the young Jedi will travel to new planets with new and old friends and encounter adversaries like The Ganguls, who are growing in their pirate ranks."
