There’s a new series for preschoolers coming to Nickelodeon in the fall. Get ready for Tim Rex in Space, and it looks so adorable!
Trying to find something that’s both entertaining and educational for preschoolers is easier now than ever before. That doesn’t mean we can’t look forward to something new. After all, even preschoolers realize when they’ve seen the same episodes over and over again.
Well, the good news is Nickelodeon is always looking out for parents with younger children. Nick Jr. is the place to be this fall, with the new series heading our way.
By the way, if you’re in the UK, you’ll be able to watch it on Milkshake! On Channel 5! This is the first joint production between Milkshake! and Nickelodeon. Can I just say, as someone who had kids who started to grow up with Milkshake!, I love that it’s still going?

Look, there is something about dinosaurs that draws people of all ages in. If you ask my nine-year-old, she will tell you that the dinosaur section was the best part of the Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Canada. Well, guess who will want to watch Tim Rex in Space, even if it is a little young for her!
Tim Rex in Space follows a Tyrannosaurus called Tim, along with his big brother Tommy, his little sister Tia, and Kai, his triceratops bestie. They tackle all sorts of adventures in space, and of course, there are dino-sized situations and solutions to each one.
The series is set in a 21st-century suburban town called Rumbleton. It’s a cluster of asteroids, which is a great way to connect to the events that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs of the past. Each asteroid is home for people, cafes, shops, and so much more! And yes, a rocket ride is all that’s needed to get the dinos from place to place.
Cassian Swan-Mckee will voice Tim, with Ace Gill voicing Tommy, Hope Delaney voicing Tia, and Jamie Smart voicing Kai. Also part of the voice cast are: Stephen Alan Yorke, Nim Miller, Sophia Nomvete, Jessica Robinson, Alex Carter, and Lorraine Bruce.
Episodes will air starting from Monday, Aug. 4. There will be a new episode each day from Monday to Thursday at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT for three consecutive weeks. Encore episodes will air on Nick Jr. at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT. Those in the UK will need to check the listing times for Milkshake!
