The hijinks and life lessons will continue in the highly popular Disney+ original animated series, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, as it has been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its third season premiere. For families seeking an animated comedy suitable for their kids, The Proud Family shows are the perfect choice!

If you're unfamiliar with the original The Proud Family, which debuted in the early 2000s, and its revival Louder and Prouder, which dropped in 2022, both shows follow 14-year-old Penny Proud (Kyla Pratt) growing up with her family, while experiencing friendships, normal adolescence, and unavoidable societal pressure due to being a teenager living in Southern California.

The Proud Family was an immediate hit for the Disney Channel, thanks to its coming-of-age narratives and its status as the first-ever animated series on the network. Due to its fan love, a movie was released in 2006. Its revival has the same formula but with an updated storyline, with LGBTQ characters, and a social media takeover.

The third season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will premiere on August 6 on Disney+. While the main cast will return to reprise their respective roles, new voices will also join in. You'll hear the roster consisting of Al Roker, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Abbott Elementary's Janelle James

Disney+ recently dropped the season 3 trailer, with the Prouds travelling across the globe, and we didn't lie about the family getting into more hijinks. Oscar Proud is clearly the center of them.

Season 3 will comprise a total of ten episodes, and although the episode count for Season 4 hasn't been announced yet, there's a high chance it will also have the same number. The exact release date also hasn't been revealed, but Deadline reports that Disney+ will launch it sometime in 2026.

Aside from the groundbreaking themes and positive representation of Black families and People of Color, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder received several GLAAD and NAACP Awards, scoring four wins for its casting and Pratt's performance as the main protagonist.

Meanwhile, The Proud Family is well-known for its theme song, which was performed by one of the greatest girl groups of all time, Destiny's Child, with lead vocals provided by Beyoncé and her younger sister, Solange Knowles. The track is now considered a Disney Classic and offers a zing of Y2K nostalgia.
