The Threat of AI Videos
There are several reasons why AI videos can be incredibly dangerous for children.
The first problem goes back to the content within the videos. Aside from being riddled with disturbing images, which can give younger kids nightmares, AI videos are targeted at children but aren't made for them.
It's a subtle difference, but the impact is enormous.
AI and Deepfake videos often use the names of popular cartoons and celebrities to entice kids into watching but include situations and language that are wildly inappropriate for their age bracket.
This leads us to the second problem: bots produce most AI and Deepfake videos in the hundreds. As a result, the videos are generated to fit within YouTube's content guidelines but have little to no human involvement to monitor said content.
Lastly, because the videos feature such iconic children's characters, kids may not see a difference between the official content and the AI videos. One wrong video can damage their positive association with characters they love.
