There’s no doubt that you’ll want to check out the second season of Tires as soon as possible. The question for many parents is whether they need to wait for the kids to go to bed.
Tires season 2 continues the workplace comedy, filled with crass humor and misogynistic behaviors. If you thought the first season was a little too crass, then you won’t want to see the second, as it just kicks up some of the humor a notch. And this type of humor isn’t for everyone.
It’s certainly not something for the smaller kids in the house. In fact, it’s not really something that many tweens and younger teens will find entertaining. This is aimed at the adults in the house, and that’s something to keep in mind when you put it on.

Tires season 2 age rating: This Netflix series remains TV-MA
Officially, the series is still rated TV-MA, and a lot of that is to do with the language used throughout the comedy. It’s the sort of profanity that not a lot of parents want their children exposed to.
Sex & nudity: Considering the misogynistic behaviors of the characters in the series, there isn’t any sex or nudity shown. Yes, there are times when a photo of a woman in a bikini is shown, but this is a workplace comedy, and despite the attitudes of the men there, they don’t bring their physical relationships into the office.
Violence & gore: There have been some accidents in the show, but there’s no horrific violence. Now and then, there are a few small cuts shown now and then. There’s nothing that will bring up questions for children.
Language: Tires season 2 continues to remain heavy in profanity. The F-bomb is dropped multiple times each episode, and there are plenty of derogatory comments made about women. This is going to make even some adults uncomfortable, and it doesn’t seem like the series has really taken in any of the feedback from people after the first season regarding this.
Alcohol & drugs: Again, as the series is set in a workplace, there isn’t that much in the way of alcohol shown, and there is no drug use. There are comments about drinking, but that’s really it.

Overall verdict: Who is Tires season 2 appropriate for?
While the United States rates Tires season 2 as TV-MA, in the UK, it’s rated 15. Some other parts of the world rate it 14A, 15, and even 16, which suggests that it could be for older teens. However, while it may be suitable in terms of the lack of nudity and violence, the language can be on the heavy side.
This is one of those shows that won’t be entertaining for many teenagers, but it depends on interests and upbringing. If you’re okay with your children listening to heavy and crass foul language, then Tires will be suitable for them. I’d watch the first episode to see the level of the language and then make a decision for your children.
Tires is available to stream on Netflix.
