What’s New On Peacock For Kids And Family: June, 2024

Peacock continues to expand the Megamind franchise in June, and you know what? That rules. Megamind Rules! is the name of the show, by the way.

The new series follows up on the original 2010 Megamind, and the recently released sequel, Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate. And with every episode of the season premiering later this month, you could spend a whole day with the kids in the world of the movie/show. Though don’t forget to take breaks and go outside, because if not your head will feel more stuffed than the title character.

Other than that series, it’s all about the legacy content this month on Peacock, and there are a bevy of films to watch with the fam. You’ve got the fantastic Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs series. There are two Kung Fu Panda movies, two Smurfs movies, and the also excellent Puss in Boots, and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

All great family fare, but personally I’m more intrigued by Aliens Abducted My Parents (And Now I Kinda Feel Left Out), which A) has a great title, and B) was extremely well reviewed, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023, and I have never heard of it before in my life. It stars Emma Tremblay, Will Forte, and Elizabeth Mitchell, and seems like the sort of sneaky surprise that streaming is made for.
