What’s New On Peacock For Kids And Family: July, 2024

July brings a slew of new movies and shows to Peacock, including the Amy Winehouse movie Back to Black, the not-Gladiator show Those About to Die, and more. But for kids and family? It’s Christmas in July, baby!

That’s thanks to a ludi-christmas amount of Hallmark movies making their way to the service, all of which we’ve listed below. Of note, and you probably know this: a lot of these movies are about single career women who head home for Christmas only to meet a hunky town-guy they used to know and despite him being interested in different things awakens something in her along with her love for Christmas, which previously, she hated Christmas. You know the drill.

The reason I bring this plot up is because while these movies aren’t necessarily aimed at kids and family, literally nothing offensive ever happens in them. They are all about “Christmas great? Yes!” and that’s it, nothing more. Nothing against the folks who work upwards of a week (if that) to make one of these movies, but they’re not that complicated. So while your kids might not necessarily identify with a hard-driven single woman living in The Big City, if they like Christmas that’s definitely in these flicks.

Just in case you don’t want to watch incessant Christmas movies during one of the hottest months on record, Peacock also has animated movies Monsters Vs. Aliens and The Secret Life of Pets 2 added to the service. There’s also a few more in there, between all the Christmas cheer.
