What’s New On Netflix For Kids And Family: July, 2024

The Imaginary, Cobra Kai, and much more hit the service this month.

It’s hot out there this July, and all you want to do is stay inside in the cool AC watching Netflix non-stop with the kids. Good news, then, the streamer has a slew of new TV shows, movies, and some older ones too to keep you busy and entertained – and hopefully cool – all month long.

The big one for the bigger kids is Cobra Kai, which is wrapping up its run with a massive, three-part finale. The first five episodes of the karate kids saga hit on July 18, with five more hitting on November 28, and the final five some time next year.

That said, I highly recommend not skipping out on Star Trek: Prodigy, which debuts its second season in full right smack dab at the top of the month. From the creators of Trollhunters and other family fare that also includes a complex and emotionally involving mythology, Prodigy is Star Trek built for both kids who have never seen a single show or movie – and die-hard fans at the same time. It’s a wild line to walk, and with new episodes finally hitting, it is well worth binging both seasons.

There’s a lot more on the list below, including the first three Spider-Man movies, a new movie called The Imaginary, which is at least the second “imaginary creatures are real!” movie to hit this year, and new episodes of The Dragon Prince, as well.

Read on for the full list of what’s coming to Netflix in July 2024 that’s appropriate for kids and families.
