If you enjoy watching CBS’s hit comedy Ghosts with your kids, you might want to take caution before enjoying tonight’s new episode. While the series carries a TV-14 age rating, meaning most episodes contain materials that parents could find unsuitable for children under 14 including suggestive dialogue, parents might want to exercise greater caution than normal in allowing younger viewers to watch the eighth episode of Season 3 this evening.

Ahead of the show’s April 18 episode, “Holes Are Bad,” CBS posted a content warning on the social media pages for the show warning viewers that tonight’s new episode might not be suitable for all audiences.

“Sincere post alert— tonight’s episode deals with sensitive subject matter. We care about our ghosties and want to make sure you take care when watching. We won’t go into detail [so] as not to spoil the episode, but we will share support resources in the episode and after. Thanks for watching,” CBS shared via the Ghosts Instagram account.

In an effort to avoid spoilers, CBS has not provided exact details regarding the sensitive subject matter “Holes Are Bad” will address; however, the assumption among fans, is that the episode will include references to suicide and might perhaps even include a storyline that reveals one of the ghosts on the show died via suicide.

These theories align with the synopsis for the episode which hints that “shocking revelations are made about two of Woodstone’s beloved spirits.”

We anticipate that one of these shocking revelations will be connected to the ghosts discovering that Flower did not get sucked off – remember what I said above about the show’s suggestive dialogue – but rather somehow fell into a well on the property and has been trapped ever since. The promo for the episode teased the reunion between Flower and her fellow ghosts, so it would make sense for that discovery to be one of the shocking revelations.

As for the second? Well, fans have expressed theories that tonight’s new episode will reveal that Hetty might have committed suicide. The cause of Hetty’s death has never been addressed on the show and many expected that Season 3 would reveal the details surrounding her death. Given Episode 8 teases a shocking revelation about two ghosts and CBS has issued a content warning ahead of the episode’s broadcast, there is a strong chance the episode’s sensitive subject matter will revolve around Hetty’s committing suicide.

We’ll know for certain what the episode has in store when it airs tonight, April 18, at 8:30/7:30c on CBS, but parents might want to take precautionary measures before watching the episode with younger children tonight.
