If there’s one book series that kids have loved for the last few years, it’s The Bad Guys. It wasn’t a surprise when the books were turned into a movie, and now the franchise continues with a fun holiday special. The question is whether The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday is something for the whole family.

The new special sees Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, and others forced to save the holiday. Usually, they would go out and steal, causing havoc for everyone. However, Christmas is canceled when they cause an accident that stops the Santa Claus parade in town.

Now the group of villains team together to find a way to bring Christmas cheer back to the town. What trouble will they run into along the way, and will anyone actually believe they want to help?

The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday age rating

Who is the TV special suitable for? The official age rating for the release is TV-Y7.

Oh yes, this is suitable for all ages. In fact, it’s specifically created for younger members of the family, although there will be some fun moments for kids of other ages. And the adults, of course! If your kids loved the movie, they’re going to adore this.

The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday is only 25 minutes long. That gives you an idea of just who this is aimed toward. It’s perfect for younger members of the family who have short attention spans.

You’ll just need to find something to watch afterward, and I highly recommend Alien X-Mas to follow up! It’s such an adorable Christmas special. This is also perfect for the entire family—it was a hit with both my 7-year-old and 11-year-old.

The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday is coming to Netflix on Thursday, Nov. 30.
