Take an adventure back to the Dark Ages with Max & the Midknights! This new and upcoming animated series will arrive on Nickelodeon next month. Each episode will feature Max, a young girl who dreams of being a knight. To reach her goals, she has the support of her friends and takes on medieval conquests that are more suited for experienced knights.

But hey, Max could do anything she sets her mind to, and that's an important lesson for children to learn, even if the outcomes might be disappointing. The essence is that you did your best despite what your audience tries to tell you differently. Kids naturally have confidence due to their developing minds and curiosity to explore and try new things, and Max and the Midnights firmly narrate the theme.

Having screened the episodes before the October premiere, I could already tell that kids, especially those who are into history and medieval realms, will enjoy Max & the Midknights. It's creative, fun, and has the correct dose of adventure without the scary elements. And you'll learn about the Middle Ages without diving too deep. Plus, there are dragons, which make every storyline better.

Here's everything to know about this exciting new show and what to expect!

Max & the Midknights: Trailer, synopsis, and more!

As mentioned, Max & the Midknights will provide an adventure for your kids and will be a great substitute for Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, as they're not old enough to explore the darker side of medieval fantasy.

According to a Nickelodeon press release which The Parent Watch attained, the synopsis below reveals the show's highlights, characters, and the overall theme of Max & the Midknights.

"Max lives in a 14th century English-like countryside and has always wanted to be a knight. With the help of some new friends, dubbed the Midknights, Max proves in hilarious and death-defying ways that she can be a knight."

In the action-packed trailer, Max and her friends begin embarking on their adventures, which hold hidden lessons around each one. The clip additionally unveils character personalities, with one being the comedic relief of the group.

The first two episodes are available to stream on Nickelodeon, with the first one introducing the show to the audience. The Network gave a detailed description of the premise, highlighting Max's purpose.

""Welcome to Byjovia," introduces Max, a medieval girl who dreams of becoming a knight and battling dragons but must instead roam the countryside as an apprentice troubadour with her Uncle Budrick. After encountering a thief, Max and Uncle Budrick head to the medieval kingdom of Byjovia but soon discover that the town is nothing like Uncle Budrick remembers. "

Max & the Midknights will make its television premiere on Wednesday, October 30th at 7 PM EST/6 PM CST, with an international roll-out on October 10th.
