Has it really been 36 years of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards today? That's way more than a kid, and it's true... While the "ceremony" was soft-launched as part of the show Rated K: For Kids by Kids in 1987, the following year on April 18, 1988, we were treated to the first-ever slime-time showing of the KCAs.

And they're still going to this day! The 2024 KCA's will be broadcast from the Pauley Pavillion on Jul. 13, 2024. This year's KCA's will also mark the 25th anniversary of the Emmy award-winning show Spongebob Squarepants. The show has won the most KCA's in the ceremony's history, which is great and all, but you're here for the slime: the moments when celebrities get hit unexpectedly with a gush of green slime from the top of the auditorium, soaking them from head to toe.

While there are many memorable slime moments, only a few can be considered worthy enough to make it into The Parent Watch's top 5 list. Want to know which celebs got the best slime of all time? Read on to find out!

1. DJ Khaled

DJ Khaled is "da best" at getting slimed! The rapper, record producer, and entertainer had been in the middle of closing out the 2019 ceremony when he got slimed -- a great ending to one of the most memorable Awards to have aired. The rapper had won the Kids' Choice Award that year for Favorite Collaboration for "No Brainer" which featured artists Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, and Quavo. Maybe he should have rapped "No Slimer" instead!

2. Katy Perry

Pop star Katy Perry was the KCA's next slime victim. She was alongside actor and comedian Jonah Hill as she got slimed. She exclaimed that she couldn't "see anything" under the slime and we definitely don't doubt that. Hill, who avoided the mess, can be seen getting hugged by Perry, so, by default, you can say that he also technically got slimed.

3. John Cena

You can't see him underneath all of that slime! WWE wrestler and actor John Cena took to the KCA stage to host the 2017 broadcast. After being elevated to the stage, Cena is seen looking over at the audience as the slime machines let loose onto the crowd. This happened just before Cena got a taste of his own medicine and got completely slimed. The entertainer didn't miss a beat and continued on with his hosting duties like a pro.

4. Snoop Dogg

Famed rapper Snoop Dogg appeared alongside boy band Big Time Rush as they performed the remix of their hit song "Boyfriend." At the end of the final verse in the song, you can see the rapper had been slimed immediately as he landed at the top of the stage. He took it like a champ though and definitely deserves to be in the top five slime moments in KCA history!

5. Fifth Harmony

One of pop music's biggest girl groups got to feel the green at the 2016 KCAs! After the group accepted their award, the slime action took place. All four members except for Ally Brooke are seen escaping the podium with Brooke getting the majority of slime dumped on her. What a champ!

6. HONORABLE MENTION: The D'Amelio Family

Our honorable mention comes from 2023's broadcast of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Social media stars Charli (who also was the host) and Dixie D'Amelio are seen alongside co-host Nate Burleson as well as Mark and Heidi D'Amelio. It was definitely a sight to see and brought about a ton of buzz on social media! Tik-Tok? More like, slime-time!
