10 Mother’s Days Movies to stream with kids and family: Mamma Mia!, Little Women, and more

Today is Mother’s Day, and you’re going to want to do whatever Mom wants. And what she wants most is to chill out with the fam and watch a movie. Unfortunately, the streaming stratosphere is littered with movies that feature moms, but might not work for the kids.

For example: Psycho is a movie that features a mother. I don’t think that would be a great movie to watch with Mom or the family! Or more modern flicks like Everything Everywhere All At Once are phenomenal explorations of a mother and daughter’s relationship, but with an R-rating, it might not be right for ages 0-100.

That’s where we come in. Below is a list of films that are Mother’s Day-themed, and a-okay for everyone from Little Susie to Grandma June. Or whatever your names are, I don’t know, I can’t talk to you through the computer screen. That’s not how this works.

They’re creepy and they’re kooky, and they’re great for everyone – if you like your humor dark. Anjelica Huston as Morticia Addams is a fantastic mother, and seeing Gomez’s (Raul Julia) love for her is a testament to two great parents who don’t mind their kids killing each other now and again.

Though this may bring up some dangerous ideas, Jennifer Garner stars as a mom who decides to give her kids a “Yes Day,” aka a day where the parents don’t say no to anything.
