DORA will continue to explore-a on Paramount+, as the streamer has picked up the rebooted series for a second season.

“Kids and family programming is consistently one of the most popular genres on Paramount+ and we’re thrilled that our audience has already embraced DORA,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+, via a press release provided to The Parent Watch. “It’s an incredible opportunity to introduce this beloved character and iconic franchise to a whole new generation.”

The new show is CG-animated, unlike the hand-drawn original. But otherwise, everything else is pretty much the same. Dora (Diana Zermeño) continues to explore her world alongside best monkey friend Boots (Asher Colton Spence). They team up with their trusty friend Map (Anairis Quiñones). And Swiper (Marc Weiner) continues to try to swipe despite repeatedly being told not to.

In addition, the original voice of Dora, Kathleen Herles, returns in this series to voice Mami.

DORA once again comes from Nickelodeon Animation, with original show creators Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes returning for the new series, alongside Rich Magallanes as executive producer. Henry Lenardin-Madden is the co-executive producer, and Alejandro Bien-Willner is the story editor. Marielle Kaar is Nickelodeon's Executive in Charge of Production for the series, and the original series was co-created by Gifford and Valdes, as well as Eric Weiner.

16 episodes of the new series are streaming currently on Paramount+, in addition to eight full seasons of the original series. So that’s plenty of Dora to, er, explore if you or your kids like the series.
