So grab some grass – if you’re watching outside in a park, or something – and get ready to enjoy these Stoner movies with your children.
1. Cheaper by the Dozen (2003)
Stoner kicked off their career on film in the 2003 remake of Cheaper by the Dozen, playing Sarah Baker, one of the middle children of the titular dirty dozen. In the film, they played opposite icons like Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt. Sure some of the kids were dope(s), but it was great seeing Martin and Hunt dispensery-ing advice.

2. Garfield: The Movie (2004)
Stoner had a bit of a smaller role in this one as the voice of Kid Rat 3, but despite being the seed in the weed here – meaning, you know, a small thing, this is a phrase that everyone uses all the time – it’s still an essential part of their filmography.

3. Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005)
You won’t be as high watching the sequel as the original, but it is fun to visit with the Baker family because days like today are always better with a friend. And Stoner’s Sarah gets an even bigger role in the second movie, to be blunt.

4. Step Up (2006)
Look, we get some parents might get all puffy and pass on this dance movie, but the moves everyone shows off here are amazing, including Stoner’s. The focus is on Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan; but Stoner’s dance talents are very much on display as well. Stoner eventually, er, stepped up as the lead in Step Up 3D and Step Up: All In, which are worth checking out too.

5. Alice Upside Down (2007)
Finally, the roll that put Stoner in the center of the rotation. Meaning they star in this movie, that’s what I was trying to say. Anyway, it’s based on the Alice series, has the main character doing teen things, and Stoner sang the first track on the album. An essential part of the Stoner filmography!

6. Super Buddies (2013)
Buds! Look at all these buds! Stoner is featured as the voice of Strawberry, one of the talking dogs in this spinoff of the Air Bud series. Seriously, look into it sometime, the chronology of that whole series is wild. It's enough to make you paranoid if you think about it too much, honestly!

7. Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (2020)
Stoner has provided the voice of Isabella Garcia-Shapiro on Phineas & Ferb for years now, and they reprised the role for the direct-to-Disney+ movie. It’s great they brought everyone back for this very funny, very charming film because smoke ‘em if you got ‘em, I say! I'm not sure if that's appropriate here, but there you go! Happy April 20, everyone, aka Alyson Stoner day!
