'There's a Platypus Controlling Me' is performed by Dr. Doofernshmirtz in the 62nd episode, 'Brain Drain, which originally aired on October 29, 2010. Perry is seen trying to help Doofenshmirtz seem 'cool' to his daughter, Vanessa and her friends at a junkyard party so Perry decides to control Doofenshmirtz's movements on the DJ controller. Her friends think that his outburst is a metaphor though and continue to encourage him to perform. After a while, Doofenshmirtz ends up getting the the rhythm of the DJ scratches . It also shows that Doofenshmirtz doesn't need to act a certain way to impress his daughter and that she loves him for who he is.
