TV shows can be an excellent learning tool for toddlers when done right. Ms. Rachel is a new series set to arrive on Netflix later this month.

I remember watching Octonauts with my pre-schoolers. We also watched Word Party and Little Monsters to offer a variety of learning opportunities. Sometimes, it was about the underwater animals, while other shows offered lessons in sharing, anti-bullying, and acceptance.

Didn’t we grow up with the original Blue’s Clues to help with learning? Ben 10 is another great one, and even gets kids up and moving around. Now it’s time for another series, Ms. Rachel.

Ms. Rachel release date on Netflix

The new series will arrive on Netflix on Monday, Jan. 27. There will be four episodes dropping at once, and each episode is between 30 and 60 minutes long.

Don’t worry about there only being four episodes. This isn’t four and that’s it. There will be more episodes of the series later in the year. The benefit of toddlers is that they gain from rewatching episodes because this aids with learning.

The series is released worldwide, and it will be available it 33 languages.

What is Ms. Rachel about?

The new series is created, written, and produced by Rachel (Ms. Rachel) and Aron (Herbie) Accurso. Ms. Rachel comes to the screen to sing and play with kids, helping them learn letters numbers, shapes, colors, and so much more. Everything is done through song and dance to make learning fun.

If you think you’ve heard of Ms. Rachel before, that’s likely thanks to YouTube. She has her own popular YouTube channel, which generates more than 400 million views each month. She spends her time creating content that educates children, using research-based videos to aid in bonding and learning.

Rachel has two master’s degrees, in early childhood development and music education. She wants to ensure that all children have access to education, regardless of background and class. Netflix is just the next step to help capture the attention of other toddlers, and you can always check out YouTube for more videos.

Ms. Rachel premieres on Netflix on Monday, Jan. 27.
