The preschool show Gabby's Dollhouse from Netflix will soon be coming to a city near you, with Meowseum Discovery Days, as children's museums across the country will offer an up-close and hands-on experience with the characters and the dollhouse. Kids are always ready to connect more with their favorite shows, and what better way to do so than to see Gabby and her friends in person? It's a double win when you learn and play!
Dreamworks Animation, the studio behind Gabby's Dollhouse, has partnered up with the Association of Children’s Museums, or ACM, to bring the show directly to the kids and families. Activities such as crafts, meet and greets, storytimes, and other fun opportunities will be explored throughout the visits.
In a press release obtained by The Parent Watch, Associations director Arthur G. Affleck, provided insight on the collaboration between Dreamworks and his nonprofit.
"[The Association of Children's Museums] is delighted that our MEOWseum Discovery Days partnership with DreamWorks Animation is bringing more of its heartwarming and memorable experiences to more museums around the country for the second half of the year. In addition to seeing increased attendance of more than 50% at children’s museums on the date the Meet & Greet events are held, ACM is thrilled with how well Gabby embodies how learning and fun go hand-in-hand. There's hardly a better place for her than in children's museums.”
The first half of the tour began in January 2025 in Brooklyn, New York, and wrapped on April 21 in Colorado. Due to its success and a 50% increase in museum attendance, round two of Meowseum Discovery Days is coming! For a little girl and her cat friends who make up Gabby's Dollhouse, that's quite a deserving accomplishment!
Here's when Gabby's Dollhouse Meowseum Discovery Days will be coming to a city near you!
The first stop will happen on Aug. 2, at the Louisiana Children's Museum in New Orleans, and will run for two days. Then, Gabby and her team are off to the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from Aug. 9-10. Meowseum Discovery Days will stream through North Carolina and Georgia, make their way up to New England and New York, and finish with multiple visits across the Midwest, in November, with one near Chicago.
Gabby's Dollhouse's website has the complete list of the Meowseum Discovery Days stops, along with specific guidelines on what rules to follow while visiting, and whether there will be an entrance fee. Photography is encouraged as the show's social media profiles will be sharing fan snaps from the Days.
But the Meowseum Discovery Days will not be the only thing that will be a big thing for Gabby. Season 12 of the hit show will roll out on Netflix later this year. But before then, in September, a live-action movie will arrive, and will star Laila Lockhart Kraner reprising her role, Kirsten Wiig, Fortune Feimster, and Grammy-winner Gloria Estefan.
