We have a bear-y exciting new show to introduce you to! Apple TV+ just announced their latest animated series BE@RBRICK! The series is based on the collectible figurines of the same name and blends cutting-edge animation with a fresh, playful narrative that appeals to both kids and adults alike. With its vibrant characters, inventive storytelling, and a dash of nostalgia, BE@RBRICK will become a must-watch series for fans of all ages.
BE@RBRICK is the latest collaboration for Apple TV+ and DreamWorks Animation with Dentsu. The series is developed by Daytime Emmy Award nominee Meghan McCarthy (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Centaurworld), who also serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Four-time Grammy Award-winning producer Timbaland serves as executive music producer. Timbaland was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2024. The show also has an original score by Jina Hyojin An (XO, Kitty) and Shirley Song (Exploding Kittens).
The CGI-animated series follows the journey of high-schooler Jasmine and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams and inspire others to do the same. Per Apple TV+'s official description of the show, "It won't be easy to do when living in a world where everyone's role is chosen for them and where the painted-on look you receive when you graduate from high school determines who you'll be for the rest of your life".
This series boasts a large cast which includes Brianna Bryan as Jasmine Finch, Noah Bentley as Klaus Nightshade, Isaiah Crews as Nick Hazard, Skyla I’Lece as Holly Honeywell, Ego Nwodim as Baker/Charlene, Emily Hampshire as Janet, Timbaland as BRBX Media DJ, Alison Jaye as Ada Goodall, Nick Wolfhard as Todd, Tim Meadows as Mr. Hitmaker, and Katy Mixon as Ms. Goldenshorts.
Not only does BE@RBRICK feature a stellar cast, but the series is built upon upbeat original songs that both kids and families will be able to jam out to as they watch along and emphasizes the need for sharing the universal language of music. The premiere of the show will join a large lineup of kids and family offerings now streaming globally on Apple TV+. This includes Camp Snoopy, Frog and Toad, WondLa, Yo Gabba GabbaLand!, and Wonder Pets: In the City.
The 13-episode series is set to debut globally on Friday Mar. 21.
