Ten years after ending, Disney's animated series Phineas and Ferb was revived with a scheduled forty new episodes. Not only has this thrilled fans, but it has also raised the possibility of other favorite series returning.

Could there be a renaissance of The Disney Afternoon? If so, here are 5 Disney shows I would love to see add more episodes or be rebooted.

Darkwing Duck

When Disney rebooted DuckTales in 2017, it was a smashing success. The theme song became even catchier, the characters actually had growth and development, and there was an overarching plot that tied everything together. Within DuckTales, there are three episodes that feature the character Darkwing Duck.

Many fans, myself included, thought that this was foreshadowing the reboot of the Darkwing Duck series. But that still hasn't come to be in 2025. I would love to see more of the character development that began in DuckTales transfer over to Darkwing Duck, and watch Darkwing, Launchpad, and Gosalyn fight crime as a family.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers

Also making a cameo in an episode of the new DuckTales was the mystery-solving, crime-fighting team of chipmunks, mice, and a fly. I absolutely loved Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers as a kid, and I was so excited to see them in that one episode. It was disappointing that that was all we got, but then we had the Disney+ movie to look forward to. However, the 2022 Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers film was more like Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, and all the characters were simply actors with completely different lives outside the show.

I think that Chip, Dale, and their friends deserve a reworking of their show that stays true to their characters inside their world.

Milo Murphy's Law

After the end of their show, Phineas and Ferb, Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh jumped into creating a new series. Milo Murphy's Law follows a teenager whose male family members carry a generational curse of "anything that can go wrong, will."

The same humor and wit found in Phineas and Ferb make this series fun for everyone, while adding time-travel, secret underground civilizations, and Weird Al Yankovic as the titular character. This show ended way too early, and Disney should order more episodes to go along with Phineas and Ferb's revival.

Amphibia

I will admit that I judged Amphibia by its previews, but once I watched the series, I was impressed. The characters and storyline are well-written, and that's saying something. After all, Amphibia is about a teenage girl who gets sucked through a magic portal into a world of anthropomorphic frogs. And while the story wraps up cleanly, I was left feeling hollow.

There must be a way to reunite Anne and Sprig! Disney should return to Amphibia if only to give Anne a better ending than the bittersweet original one.

I Just Want To Hug All Of You Gravity Falls GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

Gravity Falls

Gravity Falls is one of Disney's best TV series, and the final episode even suggested that there would be a "next summer," so it isn't too crazy to think that there could be more episodes.

Dipper and Mabel Pines surely returned to see their friends and the Mystery Shack. There were also suggestions that the mysterious and supernatural had not been completely removed from the town where the Pines twins spent the summer of their thirteenth birthday. Or, Dipper and Mabel could follow their grunkles (great-uncles) on their adventures on the open sea. There is so much more story to tell!
