3 reasons your kids will love watching Puppy Bowl XXI

Puppy Bowl is one of the biggest events of the year for Animal Planet. There's no doubt that this is something to watch with the kids.

It’s almost time for another Puppy Bowl, and this is a must-watch with the kids. They will enjoy every second of the “game.”

Puppy Bowl XXI will air on Sunday, Feb. 9 starting at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT. You can watch it on multiple platforms, whether you have Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, TruTV, discovery+, or Max. This is something that Warner Bros. Discovery wants you to watch.

Not only are you watching a cute “game,” but you’re supporting animal shelters around the country. Here’s why the kids are going to adore every single of this event.

It’s just adorable watching the pups play in Puppy Bowl

Look, there’s no doubt that one of the most adorable things about Puppy Bowl is that we get to watch these puppies play. Some of them play with each other. We see them scoring their “touchdowns” and “tackle” each other as they find a toy that they want the most.

Then there are some who get out on their own. These are usually the disabled pups, showing everyone that nothing can hold a dog back.

Kids adore watching the games play out. There’s nothing more adorable than seeing pups in their element, and their faces when they’re given their penalties are priceless.

Children get to learn more about animal shelters

You likely have a humane society in your town. How much do your kids know about them? Puppy Bowl XXI will offer them a chance to learn, and kids do like to learn (as long as it’s not in school!). This is a chance for them to find out more about the shelters around the country.

Learning more about the shelters will give them a chance to see the experiences pups have. It allows them to become more empathetic as people, and this can help with career paths as they get older.

The Kitty Halftime Show is so cute

The Super Bowl has its Halftime Show. Well, Puppy Bowl has its, and it’s the kittens that do it. Every now and then, there’s a cut to the kitty cheerleaders, but the Halftime Show is just so cute.

Some of the cats will get right into the camera, while others play with the kitten toys that are placed around the field. You just never know what they’re going to get up to, and it offers a sweet break during the game.

Kids are sure to enjoy it. There’s music to dance to and excitement as the kittens find a toy that they love to play with. Take a look at one of the Kitty Halftime Shows from the past:

Even if you’re not a sports fan, Puppy Bowl XXI is a must. This is an event that the kids in the house will love. My youngest is forever asking when the next “game” is so she can watch the adorable pups play.
